USS Midway Museum: My Case Study Progress

When Professor Ponting first assigned the case study to our class, I had no idea what I was going to do this assignment. Being from San Diego, there are not a lot of places nearby that really stood out to me. After a lot of thought, I chose the USS Midway Museum in downtown San Diego for my case study. I chose the USS Midway Museum because I have had many memorable experiences at this venue and have seen some amazing events take place on its deck. I wanted to revisit to find out more about what made the Midway so special and an iconic part of San Diego.

So far, I have been able to revisit the museum and refresh my memory on how amazing of an experience it is. I have unfortunately not been able to contact anyone yet to learn about their leadership style. I would really like to meet senior leaders in the sales and events side of the Midway because their events that they pull off are one of the most interesting things about this unique venue. Being a retired aircraft carrier turned into a museum certainly creates challenges, but from my experience, the team at the USS Midway turn these challenges into opportunities
